If your Injector leads were hot, while the key is off, and the battery is in, then the 'Big GIFF File' of the wiring diag is proper for your car ( No Injector Isolation of 12 volt ).. The 12 volt that feeds EVERYTHING ( including your injectors ) comes from the Bottom ( If I have the Orientation correct ) Fusible Link at the Battery Box.. It's a White/Blk wire circuit... That feed all sorts of relays and stuff.. To check the Link ( without pulling anything big ), pull an injector Lead, and see if you get 12 volts to ground on ONE of the Injector wires.. If you do then the Fusible Link is still good.. Just for Kicks and Giggles.. check all the injectors for 12 volt on one wire.. If all of the injectors have voltage, then the wiring and the Fuse is good.. NO idea what the 'Short' could have popped.. Likely NOTHING.. I'm thinking you don't have good connections on the wires you did splice, or something is left disconnected.. Go back with all the Org Components.. and check for the 12 volts.. Then work from there..
